Sometimes photography takes on new meaning. Photography is a snapshot in time. Once a photo is taken it is a physical memory of an event. I love that about taking photos. This winding creek was photographed in Rowlett Texas. You might say it was down a road less traveled. I don't like winter, but in these rare occasions that I get to venture out and see beauty like this, I love it. Marketing in Rowlett is no different than any other town. Recently I joined numerous other Rowlett Chamber members in welcoming CertaPro Painters into our family of businesses. Mike and Nelle Marmaro are new to our community. I actually met them at one of our Friday Night Live events sponsored by G&M Rubber Stamps located in Rowlett. One thing I noticed about Mike was his passion for helping others. Mike actually comes out of the corporate world which will help in his quest to grow his business. Nelle, his wife and partner, is extremely talented in the area of color and is instrumental in providing a comfort level for homeowners or business owners that need expertise in making those decisions. 

Mike has been pleasantly surprised at the open arms feel he has received from both the chamber and members of the Rowlett Chamber. Mike said "I am surprised at how fulfilling it is when my clients appreciate the job we do and actually expresses that to us. That is one thing I did not expect." For those of you who have not met Mike and Nelle Marmaro, please make an effort to do that. The effort will be well worth your time.

Some of you have asked me, What is the best way to market my business? Take a page from Mike and Nelle, get involved with your community and local chamber of commerce. Help people accomplish their dreams and goals and enjoy the journey getting there. Business will find you.
